Terms and conditions
Last updated: 17 October 2026
These terms govern the use of Oraclea: the smartphone app and this website. We have written them as simply as possible: read them before you create an account. How we process your personal data is explained separately, on the Privacy and cookies page.
1. Who provides Oraclea
Oraclea is offered by [TO BE COMPLETED: full name of the provider], [TO BE COMPLETED: address (a home address is fine)], email [TO BE COMPLETED: contact email] (in these terms: “the Provider” or “we”).
At present Oraclea is a personal project that is still in a testing phase and is offered by a natural person. If a company is set up in the future to run Oraclea, we will update these terms and let you know (section 17).
2. What Oraclea is
Oraclea is a daily ritual app: every day it offers you a tarot card, the Moon phase, a chakra and a message linked to your zodiac sign. It also offers card readings, the horoscope, your birth chart, a personal diary, comparison with your friends and compatibility with other people based on birth data (synastry). The app needs an internet connection to work.
The website presents the app, publishes these information pages and lets you write to us from the Contact page.
3. Acceptance of the terms
By creating an account, or by using the app or the website, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Oraclea.
If you are a consumer, that is, if you use Oraclea for purposes unrelated to your professional activity, nothing in these terms limits the rights that the law grants you and that a contract cannot take away.
4. Your account
- Minimum age. To create an account and use Oraclea you must be at least 18 years old. When you register in the app, you confirm this by ticking the box provided, which is also how you accept these terms. If we learn that an account belongs to a younger person, we close it and delete its data.
- Accurate data. To register, we ask you for a username, an email address, a password and your zodiac sign; you can add your date, time and place of birth for the birth chart. Use an email address of your own that you can access. Birth data can be changed once every 30 days, because the app's calculations depend on it.
- One account per person. Your account is personal: do not create it in another person's name, do not share it, do not sell it and do not transfer it.
- Username. Your username is visible to other users, and anyone who knows it can send you a friend request: do not choose one that is offensive or misleading or that imitates another person or someone else's brand.
- Password. Choose a secure password that you do not use for other services (the app asks for at least 6 characters, but the longer the better), and do not give it to anyone. After you sign in, the app stays signed in to your account on that phone for 30 days: if you think someone is using your account, write to us straight away. You are responsible for what others do with your account if it was you who made it possible, for example by giving them your password.
5. Permitted and prohibited use
You may use Oraclea for yourself, for personal and non-commercial use. You may not:
- use Oraclea for illegal purposes or to harass, threaten, insult or deceive other people;
- write or send content that is unlawful, offensive, discriminatory, violent or sexually explicit, or that infringes the rights of others (for example copyright or privacy);
- enter other people's personal data without their permission;
- send spam, mass friend requests or advertising messages;
- access or try to access accounts, data or parts of the service that are not yours, or circumvent the security measures and limits of the app (including those of the Premium features);
- use automated programs (bots, scrapers) to use, copy or overload the service, or copy, decompile or modify the app, except where the law allows it in any case;
- resell or commercially exploit Oraclea or its content without our written permission.
6. Friends, sharing and reports
You can add other users as friends by searching for their username. A request becomes a friendship only if the other person accepts it. You can decline a request, ignore it (the person who sent it will not be able to send you a friend request again), remove a friend or block a user. With a free account you can have up to 5 friends; with Premium, there is no limit.
Other users can see your username and your sign. Your friends can also see whether you have done the ritual of the day and its result (for example the card and the chakra), the trend of your chakras over the last few days, so that they can compare it with their own, and the new friendships you make. They do not see your diary or your birth data.
If a user behaves inappropriately, you can report them to us from the app (for abuse, spam, harassment or breach of these terms); to report illegal content to us, you can also use the Contact page. We examine every report and, if necessary, take action as described in section 11.
Outside the app, you can share the images that the app creates specifically for this purpose (for example the story of the day) and your invite link.
7. Your content
The content you write in Oraclea is yours: the pages and notes of your diary, the questions you ask the cards, and the reports and messages you send us. You give us permission only to store it and to use it to make the service work for you (for example to show you your diary or to build a reading), and for nothing else. The diary is private: we do not show it to other users.
Do not include information that is not needed in your content, in particular passwords or other people's data. If you use synastry, enter another person's name and birth data only if that person agrees: this data stays saved on your phone and is not sent to our servers.
8. Oraclea's texts and artificial intelligence
The texts that Oraclea shows you (the message of the day, the readings, the horoscope, the birth chart, the diary pages) are put together automatically: the service selects and combines texts written by our team on the basis of the date, your sign, your birth data and the cards drawn.
At present Oraclea does not use artificial intelligence to write its texts. If we use it in the future, for example to interpret readings or to answer your question to the cards, we will say so clearly in the app and on this page before switching it on. A text written by artificial intelligence can also be inaccurate or wrong.
9. Entertainment only: not professional advice
Astrology, tarot, Moon phases and chakras have no proven scientific basis and do not make it possible to predict the future. Oraclea offers them for entertainment and as a starting point for personal reflection.
- The content of Oraclea is not medical, psychological, legal or financial advice or advice of any other professional kind, and does not replace the opinion of a professional. Do not use it to make important decisions about your health, treatment, money, work or relationships.
- If you are unwell or going through a difficult time, contact your doctor or a professional; in an emergency, call 112.
- The features that link the ritual to the cycle (the menstrual cycle or the “energy” cycle), when available, calculate merely indicative phases based on the date you enter and on fixed lengths (28 days for the menstrual cycle). They are not a medical device and are not intended to identify ovulation or fertile days; they are not a method of contraception or an aid to trying for a pregnancy.
10. Premium and in-app purchases
With a free account you can use the basic features. Some features are reserved for Premium accounts, for example the diary, the weekly recap, the five-card reading, the question to the cards and having more than 5 friends.
- What is purchased. Premium is a subscription that can be purchased only in the Android app, through the Google Play payment system. There are three plans: monthly, at €4.99 a month, quarterly, at €12.99 every 3 months, and annual, at €44.99 a year. These are the prices in euros: in other countries or currencies they may differ.
- 7-day free trial. The annual plan can start with a 7-day free trial, for new customers only: Google Play decides whether you are eligible and shows it to you before you confirm. You pay nothing during the trial. When the trial ends, the subscription becomes the annual plan and you are charged the price you were shown, unless you cancel before the trial ends.
- Price and payment. The price is the one Google Play shows you before the purchase, VAT included. The payment is collected and handled by Google Play, with the payment method you have registered there: we do not see or store your card or account details, and no amount is charged to you without your confirmation in Google Play. To verify purchases and activate Premium we use the RevenueCat service (see the Privacy and cookies page).
- Automatic renewal. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period (one month, three months or one year), at the price in force at that time, until you cancel it. The renewal is charged by Google Play to your Google account.
- Cancellation. You can cancel whenever you like in Google Play: open the Google Play app, tap your profile icon, then “Payments & subscriptions” → “Subscriptions”, choose the Oraclea subscription and tap “Cancel subscription”. You can also manage the subscription from the app: in “Profile”, tap “Manage subscription”. To avoid paying for the next period, cancel before the renewal. Uninstalling the app does not cancel the subscription. Only you can cancel: we cannot do it on your behalf. After cancellation, Premium remains active until the end of the period already paid for, after which the account returns to the free plan.
- Changing phone. If you change your phone or reinstall the app, sign in to your account and use “Restore purchases” with the same store account you used for the purchase.
- Refunds. Because the payment is collected by Google Play, refund requests are made to Google Play and follow its rules (you can find them in the Google Play help pages). You can also write to us from the Contact page, in particular if Premium does not work as it should: the rights that the law grants you as a consumer remain unaffected (section 15).
- Deleting your account does not cancel the subscription. If you delete your account (section 11), the subscription stays active in Google Play and keeps renewing, and being charged to you, until you cancel it: cancel it in Google Play before deleting your account.
Right of withdrawal. If you are a consumer, as a rule you have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract, without having to give any reason. For digital content supplied immediately, however, the right of withdrawal is lost if, before the purchase, you expressly agreed to receive it immediately, acknowledged that you thereby lose that right, and the seller confirmed this to you (Article 59, paragraph 1, letter o) of the Codice del Consumo, Italian Consumer Code, Legislative Decree 206/2005; Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU). Premium is purchased through Google Play (in the European Economic Area it is sold by Google Commerce Limited on our behalf): under the Google Play Terms of Service, when you subscribe you agree that Premium is available immediately and you acknowledge that you waive the right of withdrawal. The app does not ask you for a separate consent. If you believe you still have the right of withdrawal, or if Premium does not work, contact Google Play or write to us from the Contact page. The rights that the law does not allow you to waive remain unaffected (section 15).
11. Account deletion, suspension and closure
You can delete your account whenever you like, directly from the app: go to Profile, tap “Delete account” and confirm with your password. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone: we delete the account and all the data linked to it (profile and birth data, diary, readings, rituals, friendships), except the data that the law requires us to keep. For backup copies, what is stated on the Privacy and cookies page applies.
If you no longer have the app or cannot sign in, send us a deletion request from the Contact page with the topic “Account and sign-in” and give the email address of your account, so that we can check that the request comes from you: in this case we delete the account within 30 days of the request. The instructions are also on the Delete your account page.
Deleting your account does not cancel the Premium subscription. Cancel it in Google Play (section 10). The data that the app saves only on your phone (for example the people you added for synastry) is deleted when you uninstall the app.
We may suspend or close an account if it breaches these terms or the law, if it puts the security of the service or of other users at risk, or if an authority asks us to. Except in urgent cases or where the law does not allow it, we notify you beforehand and explain the reason. You can always reply and challenge the decision from the Contact page.
12. Availability of the service
Oraclea is in a testing phase: some features may change, be added or be removed, and there may be errors. We do our best to keep the service available and working, but we cannot guarantee that it will be so at all times and without interruption: it may stop for maintenance, updates or technical problems. If we decide to close Oraclea we will give you reasonable notice.
13. Intellectual property
The app, the website, the Oraclea name, the texts (messages, readings, horoscopes, interpretations), the images and the graphics belong to the Provider or to their respective owners and are protected by copyright and trade mark law. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the app and its content for yourself, in accordance with these terms. Apart from the sharing provided for by the app (section 6), you may not copy, republish or sell the content of Oraclea without our written permission.
14. Third-party services
- If you download the app from a store (Apple's App Store or Google Play), the terms of that store also apply. Apple and Google are not parties to these terms and are not responsible for the app or the service.
- To search for a place of birth (yours or that of a person you add for synastry), the app sends the name of the place you type to the OpenStreetMap search service (Nominatim), which has its own terms of use.
- When you share an image or an invite with other apps (social networks, messaging), what you share is subject to the terms of those apps.
15. Liability
The Provider is liable to you in accordance with the law. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits the Provider's liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence or for personal injury, or the rights that the Codice del Consumo (Legislative Decree 206/2005) grants to consumers, including the legal guarantee of conformity of digital content and digital services.
Outside these cases, and to the extent permitted by law, the Provider is not liable for:
- decisions you make on the basis of Oraclea content, which is entertainment in nature (section 9);
- interruptions or malfunctions due to causes beyond the Provider's control, such as failures of the network, of your device or of third-party services, or force majeure;
- the content and behaviour of other users, without prejudice to our commitment to take action when we are notified of something illegal (sections 6 and 11).
16. Privacy
The processing of your personal data is described on the Privacy and cookies page, which we ask you to read.
17. Changes to the terms
We may change these terms, for example when the features of Oraclea change, when a company is set up to run it or when the law changes. We publish the new version on this page, with the updated date at the top; if the changes are significant, we tell you before they apply, in the app or by email, giving reasonable notice. Changes do not apply retroactively. If you do not agree, you can close your account (section 11); if you continue to use Oraclea after the changes have come into force, the new terms apply.
18. Governing law and competent court
These terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer and you live in another country of the European Union, you are also protected by the consumer protection rules of that country that a contract cannot override.
For disputes with a consumer, the competent court is that of the place where the consumer resides or is domiciled, if that place is in Italy. Before you go to court, write to us: we will try to solve the problem together. You can also turn to one of the alternative dispute resolution (ADR) bodies provided for by the Codice del Consumo.
19. Contact
For questions about these terms or your account, or to report a problem to us, write to us at [TO BE COMPLETED: contact email] or from the Contact page. The Contact page is also the point of contact for the communications provided for by the EU Digital Services Act: you can write to us in Italian or in English.
